Journey with Van Gogh

“I have dreams about painting and then I paint my dreams.”
Vincent Van Gogh (1853 – 1890)
Van Gogh had walked no rational paths to his paintings. Instead, he relied on his emotional and spiritual guts while producing each of his works. This put him at the stake of contradicting emotions that struggled between his madness about life versus his view of the divine essence within man and nature.
His works reflected Impressionism, led Post-Impressionism and influenced Western artists, ranking him among the most significant painters who laid the foundations of modern art.
